Mount Isa is a major inland city in the heart of Outback Queensland. Located in the North West Mineral Province Mount Isa is famously known as a mining town, home to the Mount Isa Mines. Covering a geographical area of over 43 310 square kilometres, with a population of approximately 23 500, Mount Isa is a major service centre for North West Queensland.

Located along the famous Overlanders Way, the city is a popular destination for travellers.
